We are seeking a dedicated and experienced full-cycle Instructional Designer. You should have experience creating in-person, hybrid, and online training and education. Our ideal candidate is learner-centric and has a strong ability to assess training needs and flexibly collaborate and communicate with stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in developing our inaugural online training products, with the potential for this contract position to transition into a permanent role. About the Organization

Noble Research Institute is dedicated to empowering farmers and ranchers with the knowledge and tools needed to regenerate their land while ensuring profitability and environmental stewardship. Through rigorous research, practical demonstrations, and comprehensive education, we champion the principles and practices of regenerative land stewardship. Our overarching objective is to eliminate, alleviate, or circumvent the obstacles hindering the widespread adoption of regenerative management practices in grazing animal production. These barriers include:

  • Lack of accessible, science-based management knowledge.
  • Absence of guides and mentors.
  • Economic uncertainty in the adoption and operations, coupled with ongoing risks.
  • Cultural and societal influences.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating a brand new, 2-day, in-person training course. You will interview stakeholders, collect and assess all feedback, and make recommendations on how to update and refine the course. After course optimization, you will move on to creating an online version of the course and will be responsible for defining the strategy and best practices for converting it into an effective online learning experience. In addition, you may have the opportunity to design and develop the next course in the series.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learner-Centric Design: Develop instructional materials that prioritize the learner’s experience, ensuring engagement and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback, understand project requirements, and communicate progress. Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, graphic designers, and other team members.
  • Prototyping and Revising: Create prototypes of instructional materials and iterate based on feedback. Ensure that materials are continually improved and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Strong Editorial Skills: Review and refine content to ensure clarity, coherence, and correctness. Maintain high standards of editorial quality.
  • Learning Design Strategy: Develop comprehensive learning strategies for in-person, hybrid, and online formats. Ensure that learning solutions are innovative, effective, and scalable.
  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize tools such as Articulate Storyline, Vyond, Camtasia, and PowerPoint to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in instructional design, particularly in creating and managing full-cycle instructional design projects.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project needs and feedback.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
  • Tools: Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Vyond, Camtasia, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Adobe Suite and other graphic design tools is a plus.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality instructional materials.
  • Learner Empathy: Strong ability to view content from the learner’s perspective, ensuring accessibility and engagement.

Travel

  • Willingness to travel occasionally Ardmore, OK
  • The team may request 1-2 weeks of in-person work to successfully kick off the project
