As a Barclays Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for developing and deploying cutting edge online learning curriculum that will continuously offer self-paced interactive on demand eLearning in our Learning Management System (LMS). In this role, you will also be accountable for the creation of non-online learning materials such as classroom training presentations, job aids, and manuals.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $55,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $85,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

What will you be doing?

  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand learning needs and designing learning solutions to meet business needs
  • Managing multiple learning projects simultaneously including classroom learning solutions, eLearning and job aids
  • Developing and producing content that meets the needs of the US Learning community (currently Collections, Customer Care, and Fraud)
  • Engaging in active ongoing industry research and maintain a high level of knowledge in eLearning best practices
  • Adding new features and functionality to online learning by learning and utilizing new technology and software applications that enhance the learning output
  • Coordinating special projects and perform additional duties as designed
  • Measuring  and reporting on key metrics to demonstrating successful implementation of eLearning programs routinely

What we’re looking for:

  • Ability to create a learning needs analysis and definition documents to drive and define eLearning design projects
  • Experience using a Learning Management System to complete tasks such as uploading course content, working with uploaded content, and using reporting tools
  • Demonstrated experience with eLearning authoring software (Articulate Storyline 360 preferred) including development of storyboards, scripting, recording/editing
  • High degree of computer literacy with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) publishing of SCORM, and evaluation.

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, Training and Development or a related field is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
